Flight Courses

F.I.T. Aviation, LLC offers a comprehensive pilot training program, ranging from basic Recreational Pilot training through Airline Transport Pilot training.  You may choose to take only one course or all of them!  Students enrolled in the Florida Institute of Technology are able to take flight courses for college credit, either as electives or as required in the College of Aeronautics’ aviation degree programs.

Each of the following flight courses leading to an FAA certificate or rating is offered via 14 CFR Part 61 and 14 CFR Part 141.  The training syllabus for each of the following courses has been reviewed and approved by the FAA:

• Private Pilot Certification (ASEL)

• Instrument Airplane Rating

• Commercial Pilot Certification (ASEL)

• Airplane Multi-Engine Land Rating

• Flight Instructor Certification (ASE)

• Flight Instructor, Instrument Airplane Additional Rating

• Flight Instructor, Airplane Multi-Engine Land Rating

Additional training and/or courses offered via 14 CFR Part 61 include: 

• Recreational Pilot Certification (ASEL) *

• Basic Aerobatics

• Complex Instrument

• Air Taxi

• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) *

• Tail wheel Training

• Flight Reviews *

 * Not available for college credit at the Florida Institute of Technology.

 Ground school classes are offered periodically or upon request.  These classes provide the required ground instruction for the Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, or Flight Instructor certifications.  You may choose to attend a class or receive one-on-one instruction from your flight instructor.
