This section gives a summary of the normal full content of all of the flight courses offered by FIT Aviation, but your personal training program will be tailored to account for any portions of the training already satisfactorily completed in Panama. We will strive to make your training program as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
Private Pilot – Single Engine Land
This course prepares the student for the Private Pilot Certificate and introduces the student to flight training by providing dual flight instruction. Maneuvers include takeoffs and landings, solo flight and cross-country flight, flight maneuvers, navigation and emergency operations. Upon completion of the course, the student will receive a Private Pilot Certificate.
In conjunction with the flight training portion of this course, the student will receive ground training in preparation for the Private Pilot Written Examination. Topics include principles of flight, regulations, visual flight rules, aircraft systems and performance, meteorology, navigation, aviation physiology and flight planning.

Commercial Pilot Certification-Phase 1
This course provides advanced dual-flight instruction, solo and advanced cross-country navigation in preparation for the Commercial Pilot and Instrument Ratings. In conjunction with the flight training portion of this course, the student will receive advanced instruction for private pilot candidates in visual flight rules, flight planning and navigation in a complex airspace system. Also provides initial ground instruction in FAA commercial pilot written examination topics such as advanced aerodynamics and advanced avionics, including the global positioning system (GPS). Topics include airplane performance, VFR cross-country planning, regulations applicable to commercial pilot operations, advanced aircraft systems and aircrew physiology.

Instrument Additional Rating
This course provides instrument flight instruction in aircraft and flight training devices to prepare the student for the FAA instrument rating practical test. Maneuvers include VOR and NDB tracking and intercepting, DME arc, Localizer, GPS/RNAV, VOR and ILS approaches, and partial panel operations.
In conjunction with the flight training portion of this course, the student will receive ground training for the Instrument Rating. Topics include flight instruments, attitude instrument flying, navigation systems, regulations, air traffic control, airspace, aviation weather, flight planning, and departure, en route, and approach charts and procedures.

Commercial Pilot Certification – Phase 2
This course provides advanced flight instruction in primary and complex aircraft to prepare students for the Commercial Pilot Certification practical test. Maneuvers include advanced cross-country navigation, chandelles, lazy eights, steep spirals. In conjunction with the Flight Training portion of this course, the student will receive ground training for the Commercial Pilot Certification by providing continuing academic instruction to prepare flight students for the FAA commercial pilot written examination. Topics include technically advanced aircraft systems and multiengine ground instruction.

Multiengine Additional Rating
This course qualifies single-engine-rated pilots to fly multiengine airplanes by providing a combination of multiengine flight, multiengine flight training device and ground training. Upon successful completion, the student will be awarded the Multiengine Airplane-Land Rating.
