Flight Instructor (CFI)

This course provides training for commercial and instrument rated pilots to qualify for a FAA Flight Instructor Certificate. Both ground and flight training components are included in this course. The ground training course prepares pilots to instruct students by presenting techniques of instruction, including information about the various learning processes and styles, effective communication techniques, and lesson development. Further, instructor responsibilities will be addressed.

Within the ground course, the knowledge areas required to pass the FAA knowledge tests to obtain a certificate will also be reviewed. The flight training course prepares pilots to fly from the right seat of the training airplane. Additionally, pilots will learn how to instruct, analyze, and correct student pilot errors on all of the maneuvers required to obtain a FAA Flight Instructor Certificate.
