Falcon Flying Club members enjoy a 10% discount on all of our aircraft rental rates.
Reduced instructor rate
Falcon Flying Club members receive a $10/hr. discount on the retail hourly instruction rate.
Pilot shop discount
Falcon Flying Club members receive a 10% discount on all F.I.T. Aviation pilot shop supplies, including charts, study guides, operating handbooks, and even headsets.
Zero-deductible insurance
In addition to reduced aircraft rental rates, reduced hourly instruction rates and pilot shop supplies, Falcon Flying Club membership provides one of the best aircraft renter insurance options in the industry. It is prudent for a pilot operating an aircraft to ask what his/her financial risk might be in the event of an incident or accident. There are three-risk management options available to renting pilots and understanding each of them allows you to see how beneficial it is being a Falcon Flying Club member:
Self-insure
If you are NOT a Falcon Flying Club member and decide to rent an airplane, you may chooses to self-insure and accept the entire liability in the event of an accident. This liability would include damage to the aircraft, bodily injury to others, and damage to the property of others. The value of a new Piper Warrior ranges from $250,000 to $300,000, so the self-insured risk is substantial. As a Falcon Flying Club Member with F.I.T. Aviation, you are covered up to $2,000,000 of Combined Single Limit Liability and responsible for a $5,000 hull deductible. However, the renter is responsible for amounts above and the insurance company has the right to recover its loss payment if you are the pilot in command and found to be negligent (more commonly know as subrogation).
Renter’s Insurance
For pilots who rent airplanes, companies such as AVEMCO and others offer renter’s insurance. You can find quotes and a good explanation of risks at the following link. We recommend that all pilots consider rental insurance. If you elect to get a quote for a $200,000 airplane as a renter, you will quickly conclude that our Falcon Flying Club coverage will save you money.
Falcon Flying Club Insurance Pool
Pilots renting aircraft through a company like F.I.T. Aviation are company-qualified in the aircraft and our insurance company extends some of the benefits of the company policy to our customers. Falcon Flying Club Members receive the comprehensive airplane coverage of our company’s policy. Additionally, club members receive a zero deductible and the insurance company agrees to waive its rights of subrogation. For a renter pilot this may be the best coverage available.*
